I love Gingerbread house! It brings me memories of Christmas time at my home, where my mum, sister, and I would bake and decorate the gingerbread house. At that time, I wasn't such a big fan of gingerbread, but I enjoyed making the house and decorating it with sweets. So when I was thinking about the DIY Christmas craft for this year, the choice was obvious - DIY Gingerbread House. This post teaches you how to make a Gingerbread House Felt Christmas Ornament, a Gingerbread House Felt Board, and Gingerbread House Christmas Kids' Craft.

Materials & Supplies for Felt Gingerbread House

• Felt gingerbread house felt board free template

• Felt gingerbread house kids craft free template

• Felt gingerbread house ornament free template - to download the files, subscribe to the FunClothCrafts newsletter. In the newsletter, you find a password to the subscriber's Free Downloads Vault

• Felt sheet (find great felt at Benzie Design or find more buying options in the Types of Felt section of How to Sew Felt blog post) - brown, white; felt scraps - colors of you choice for decoration

• Scissors (my favorite ones are KAI 5 1/2 inch embroidery scissors or KAI 6 1/3 inch patchwork scissor)

• Glue ( I use Beacon Fabri-Tac) or Hot glue gun (here I would recommend Tilswall Mini Melt Gun 50W); glue for kids opt for Aleene's Original Tacky Glue

Optional:

• Embroidery floss (DMC embroidery floss including hand needles) if you choose for hand sewing option

• Embroidery needle (Clover Embroidery needle) if you choose for hand sewing option

• Pins (Dritz Quilting Pins) if you choose for hand sewing option

• Small piece of ribbon (7.5 inches or 19 cm) if you would like to hang your gingerbread house

• Stuffing for crafts if you would like to fill in your gingerbread house
